A few useful details.
What is Costbook for?
Independent auto detailers who want to prepare a clear estimate, keep track of supplies and compare estimated costs with the actual job. You can share a payment link from your own provider. Booking and automatic payment tracking are not included.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The calculators and workspace run in your browser on phones and computers. No installation or spreadsheet app is needed. You can print estimates or save a PDF using your browser’s print options.
Where are my records saved?
The sample workspace is temporary. “Use this device” keeps your own records in this browser; download backups regularly. The email account beta saves records online. Check spam if your sign-in email does not arrive. Online plans are not open for purchase.
Can I use my own logo and prices?
Yes. Set your name, logo, color, contact details and estimate terms in Your business. Set defaults for pay, fees and overhead, then change the details and selling price for each job.
Will it order supplies automatically?
No. It prepares a low-stock shopping list and opens the product link you save. You choose the supplier, check current prices and place the order. Add received stock when it arrives.
What if the job takes longer?
Record the actual time so you can price the next similar job more accurately. An overrun does not automatically change the customer’s price. Discuss work outside the agreed included work and get approval for any extra work and price before proceeding.
Does it guarantee profit or customers?
No. Results depend on the costs and work you record. Costbook does not know what your local customers will pay. It shows the effect of your numbers so you can make a better-informed decision.
